Following up on the last point, your assistant should know what is expected of them and be able to deliver on those requests. Write out a list of, say, 10 skills your VA needs to have, to avoid being disappointed.
3. Inquire what their specialties are and compare that to your list
Again, follow up where they excel and compare that to the list of skills you outlined in tip number 2. That will help you make your decision.
4. Communicate, communicate, communicate

Do they accept online payments? What about checks? Ask before you use their services.
7. Ask to read their contract agreement before hiring them
Contracts are an essential piece of the online assistant puzzle. Read the contract they offer well in advance to see if there’s anything hidden in the paperwork.
